With the news that Cecile Richards is stepping down as president of Planned Parenthood, we at Students for Life of America wanted to help Planned Parenthood pick its next president. We know that hiring new employees is one of the toughest parts of building an organization, so we put together some helpful questions and topics for the organization to use while vetting applicants.
1. Is it wrong to exploit women and preborn babies for profit by selling body parts?
This is the first question to ask to make sure that the applicant has no problem profiting of the death and destruction of millions of innocent babies and their mothers.
2. How is that Planned Parenthood says they never have enough money to help women but always have millions to spend on Hillary Clinton’s campaigns?
If you’re on Planned Parenthood’s e-mail lists or you follow them on social media, you would think the organization is going bankrupt. Under President Obama, they were able to grab millions of dollars in taxpayer funds. However, under the pro-life President Trump, their federal funding is now at risk of being cut. Yet, they wasted $30 million in 2016 on trying to get Hillary Clinton elected. Perhaps a review of their budgeting process would help them keep the money they have?
3. So is Planned Parenthood ever going to do mammograms?
Planned Parenthood said they need federal funds for ‘women’s health’, such as breast cancer prevention, but they actually don’t do mammograms. In fact, they can just ‘refer’ women for mammograms. As Richards said, ‘we don’t have mammogram machines’.
4. Of all the criminal investigators Planned Parenthood employees and affiliates have spoken to, who is your favorite and why?
The Department of Justice is investigating Planned Parenthood’s role in the sale of fetal body parts, requesting documents from Congressional investigations into the organization. And just last December, two companies with ties to Planned Parenthood agreed to a nearly $8 million settlement in California for their mishandling of fetal body parts, after the Orange County district attorney’s office brought charges against the companies.
So who is the ideal candidate to lead Planned Parenthood? Ideally, someone with a law degree (so they can handle all the state and federal investigations), a background in accounting (so they can keep cutting basic health services while increasing income), and a callous disregard for human life (but the ability to pretend they care!).
5. Will Planned Parenthood ever be honest to women about the negative consequences of having an abortion?
While Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers and advocates do not recognize Post-Abortion Syndrome (PAS) as a valid condition, PAS has been recognized by many psychologists and doctors. Get more info here.
